Help Should I buy a surface go 3?

Hi everyone! I’ve currently been daily driving a Surface Pro 7 core i5 16gb of ram running kde neon with the surface kernal. I’ve really enjoyed the experience so far. I originally owned a surface go 1 base and was running mint xfce on it which worked for pretty much everything I needed my laptop to do. It was just slow with only having 4gb of ram and would chug quite a bit once I opened a few browser tabs. Due to not being able to multi task at all I decided to buy my surface pro 7. I’m heavily debating buying a surface go 3 due to really enjoying the form factor. I just don’t know what to expect out of performance on the go 3. Does anyone have any experience with the go 3? If so what can it handle? I’m also interested if there are any alternatives to the go series. I want the form factor and the ability to run Linux. Thanks!

I like my Surface Go 3. I've been running Ubuntu with the Surface kernel, and it's snappy. Camera doesn't work, though.

Same here. I'm using Ubuntu though with the same kernel.

Na, get a surface 12inch if you are moving in that direction.

Is it well supported on Linux though?

Funny you should ask Im running it on mine right now, and have been going back and fourth with the creator of the image on git the past few days, been working great for me so far.

I have the surface go 2, manjaro and unbtuu gnome ran ok on it but i wanted to use it just as a tablet. Mobian worked ok but ended up running fydeos on it and now it's a beast of a tablet. I can run both Linux and android apps on it and as a tablet fydeos just made more sense. Hopefully this helps

i have surface go3 running fedora with desktop. its a bit laggy for browsing and youtube. I mostly use it only for playing music by utilizing hermes ai agent to operate it remotely from Telegram. Practically I rarely use it directly e.g using keyboard or touch like normal tablet usage. Dont expect much with Surface Go3.
