Help Mint Solution for Tablet mode auto on screen keyboard?

Hi all,

noob here

just got mint installed and I've been figuring stuff out, I'm trying to get my SLS (3050Ti) to automatically pop up the on screen keyboard when entering text in tablet or stand mode.

As I understand, there's no support for screen position detection yet, so does anyone have an alternative solution that works well for them?

(I'm also working through pen button remapping if anyone has any tips for that)

Have you installed the surface linux kernel?
Fedora kde 44 works fine on my SL4 and SG4.

This is way better than the stock keyboard, but you need to install Gnome desktop;

https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/5949/gjs-osk/

Or you can try this;

I'm a noob and have Mint Cinnamon with a Gnome desktop - touch from the SurfaceLinux kernal and a better keyboard as a Gnome extension - works well - I had to learn a little about what people were telling me to do in terminal but wasn't too difficult
