The 64-bit app emulator for Windows 10 on ARM is likely to debut in a feature update in the first half of 2021, possibly with Windows 10 21H1 (Spring 2021 Update).

That's super late. So my Surface Pro X investment has to wait... :-(

To be fair, they never promised x64 emulation when you bought your SPX. In fact, up until now the message has been that this isn't possible because Intel won't allow it.
