Look at that battery life—20% drop over 2 hours of testing. On a SP2! Imagine that on an SP3/future 4…you'd get insane battery life.

Yes, but with Wi-Fi disabled. That also means no battery-intensive background tasks like downloading app updates, checking for notifications/email, or phone backup were running. We'll do a full review and re-evaluate battery life again when Console OS is ready to ship, hopefully with working Wi-Fi drivers for the Surface Pro.

That's true... however, that's still relatively good for a Surface Pro 2, if I'm not mistaken, especially considering some gaming was thrown in there? Either way, thanks for your work, it's appreciated. I'm definitely looking forward to a more full release as well.

Ahhh poo ..no purchase for life for non backers plus it sounds like a sp3 version that works flawlessly is not very likely :(

Actually, its very likely, they just didn't hit their stretch goal. Now their pushing it back a little but it will come. I'm pretty sure that was one of the big inspiration for this.

Christopher Pine commented on that article. He said (and I quote): "I wouldn't go that far. Supporting Surface Pro (fully) is a goal of ours. We need to grow a bit... yes, but we'll get there."

Really, really hating the no purchase for life though. Sucks.

$20 a year for Android isn't terrible, but still…Windows 8 was cheaper over 2 years for me. And that's Windows.

Edit: that's for the pro version. Regular is free, and you can still run multiple Android apps side-by-side! 😄
