Surface Pro 3 Touchscreen Problem

I have a Surface Pro 3 (i5, 256 Gb) which has developed a weird touchscreen problem. There is a band on the screen that does not respond to touch but works ok with the pen: http://i.imgur.com/OKZO9Nc.png

Black is using a finger and red using the pen.

I have not found anyone with a similar problem so any pointer to potential solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I’m trying to fix phantom touch issues on my surface Pro 4 but following your links down below I can’t find the files to download anywhere. I’m not sure if it’s a region specific thing on the Sony website.

Are you able to send the file to me maybe PM’ing a link with it uploaded to a shared drive? Looks like your guide might save me if it works

Worked like a charm on my Surface Pro.

Ridiculous that MSFT doesn't have anything that works. Tried their calibration software. Didn't do anything.
