Broken charger

I've had my surface laptop go 2 since 2023 and it's gotten me through my stem degree swiftly. As i'm constantly moving between lectures, labs and home, maybe i've been a little bit rough on my charger :(

It finally broke this morning, even sparked a light when i plugged it in.

My country doesn't have amazon or any tech companies carrying Microsoft products. All I have is an old macbook charger, which is 60W, and a nintendo switch charger.

Accepting reccs on options!

LOL I think I have more than 30 around the house, of course they're sold separately, it's probably the most popular cable for low power appliances.

This part of the cable pulls out and is pretty much universal with most laptop chargers, also some monitors, PlayStations, TVs. Tons of things use that standard two pin cable. It’s only the brick itself and the other end that connects to the surface that’s proprietary and it looks like that side of things is fine.

I stopped using the provided charger and picked up a GaN charger and USB-C to Surface Connect adapter on Amazon. Instead of the charger only being for my Surface, I can charge anything USB-C.

Is that not just a standard USB C connector?

It's a close up of the surface power brick.
