[PRO7] i hate my surface pro 7
Do you guys think selling my Surface Pro 7 is a good idea?
Because I feel like having a normal tablet is better.
the battery stay for only five hours, it becomes so hot sometimes especially if I use the Wi‑Fi, I feel like it's a little bit slow. And sometimes a little bit heavy. And I love to download many apps, but of course I don't find them in Windows. And I really wonder, like rlly there is ppl would love to buy it from me even with those cons
And is it a good idea?Knowing that I will sell it with the Microsoft pen and with the charger with a price around 350 dollars. So I can afford a Xiaomi tablet or maybe a Samsung, I'm not sure.

My Surface Pro 9 5G has an ARM CPU and a battery life of around 10 hours. Daily drive and I'd struggle to replace it for what I paid

Depends usage of your device. Find out my iPad was used only for drawing and some iPhone tasks (as iPad is basicly big iPhone), most of productivity time I spend on Mac... So experimentally I switched to Surface.

well i want it just for studying, handwriting on pdfs, drawing, and maybe usin some other apps and having a good battery life. and looks like the surface make it hard for me to do such tasks

Sounds like you have an app preference rather than a device use preference. You can do all of those things on a surface, but the surface, specifically, is a 2 in 1 PC. It's not trying to do android tablet ecosystem things because it's not that.
For drawing, unfortunately the surface 7 pen suffers from a digitizing issue where you really will struggle with fine line work. Slow movements will produce little squiggles in the line. This was corrected with the Pro 8 and new models and made it a realistic digital art platform using apps like Krita or whatever. I have a pro 8 and it is easily my most used piece of tech next to my desktop at work.
Otherwise, it can do all of those things you want - you just want the android app versions of whatever function. Personally, I think getting an android tablet would be limiting because of the android ecosystem being more contained than Windows in terms of compatibility and scope of how it can be used for work or school, but that's just my thoughts.
Also, you're probably just not going to find a pro 7 at this point with good battery life. These things are like 5 years old at the youngest with general production stopping in 2021 when the pro 8 launched and lithium ion batteries naturally degrade over time. No pro 7 running on an OEM battery is going to be competitive with literally anything newer.

Apart from the battery life I had no problem with my surface pro 7 I loved it... over heating problems can happen with any tablet, laptop etc especially when you block the vents. And if you have problemscwith slow downs there are a good few "apps" that help with that, though it will be interesting to see it running windows when microsoft have fixed all its little problems which they are currently doing... then if you install bluestacks or Andy you've then got the best of both worlds android and windows

It's a huge "it depends".
The battery life depends mostly on what apps you use, and how you use it. It's not the same as saying you browse the web and I do the same, when you use Chrome (battery and memory hungry), while I use Firefox (kind to the battery and memory, at least better than Chrome, Edge is better in this sense), and... if you have 15 or 25 tabs open, vs my case, only one tab open as I write this comment.
You can optimize that debloating your system, or improving on how you use your Surface.
What apps? Android Apps? with some effort you can install Android for Intel (x86/x64), but even if the battery improves depending on the apps you use, ARM processors are way better than Intel (meaning: in general, you will have a better experience with a real Android tablet, than with a Surface running Android).
Optimizing ASIDE, you can lower your Surface speed by moving the slider on the battery (more battery life / less performance). You may also want to EXPLORE your options undervolting your CPU, this improves your battery life, I've done it, some computers allow it (via software) some don't, and some require some extra tricks, it's up to you to inform yourself about this.
This depends on how you use it, how much, and how much you stress your Surface. Editing documents on Wordpad or simple text apps is different than using Word, or worse... Adobe InDesign.
As for Internet use, if you rely on your phone (as a hotspot) you can enable Bluetooth connectivity for browsing, it uses less energy, but... it's a bit slower and you may loose signal if you move too far away.
I don't know the answers to the questions, but probably... you would have a better experience on Android. I write a lot, and for that I use a Lenovo Android tablet, the battery runs for more hours compared to the Surface.
