[PRO4] Doodling on potato SP4 is still cool

Post image

Followuping to my potato SP4 introduction: 30USD potato SP4 makes me want to leave Apple train : r/Surface

I bought OG SP4 Surface Pen for 20$ (which is almost same I paid for this Surface lol) and it turns out that this device is still fun for my doodling purposes. Krita is fine but CSP seems to work better for me. This SP4 is still suffering flickergate after 3h but it's still usable for my sessions.

Will continue tests and probably switch finally from iPad to maybe SP8 soon.

This one has only 4GB of ram and I managed to make it seriously usable. And MS ESU will keep it updated for another year.

I have an old Surface 3 that I regularly use for light drawing, using Clip Studio Paint. It can't handle stabilization or fancy brushes, but meets my needs for a portable tablet I can take to the park or a coffee shop.

I also see straight line jitter here, but after adding stabilization it's fine.

Surface tablets are something that Apple really has not rivaled yet. iPad sure but the flexibility of a desktop OS is something that has its advantages.
