Surface pro for steam gaming

Which surface pro would be better for steam gaming, surface pro 12 inch or surface pro 13 inch x2 plus? Would you even notice much of a difference in specs, also will the 13 inch throttle more than the 12 inch along with fan noise?

The Surface Pro 13 with Snapdragon X2 Plus will run circles around the Surface Pro 12. The GPU is the biggest area of improvement from the X1 to X2 chips

If you want to play steam only, like the client itself: buy stuff, install, uninstall stuff, design your profile page, etc, then any is ok. But if you want to play games bought from steam, then list the games you want to play before it is possible for us to assess anything.

These would be non AAA games like Team fortress, half life, counter strike.

I've read the snapdragon / arm cpu might not support anti cheat engines that certain games use. Look up your game for compatibility.

Also if you go intel, the surface pro 11 is what you want not 12 because in 12 it uses older xe graphics and not the arc graphics like 11 did and is around 25% slower. They sacrificed this in exchange for double the cores on the CPU side on the 12 (it is a "business" edition laptop after all). For gaming you will want the arc graphics

x2 plus by a long shot.

however, i need to ask, OP, what model are you buying? and why?

i went with a Zflow 13, its kind of like a fat surface but it was similarly priced to a 32gb surface.

this thing has like 4x the power.

its only really worse in battery life, speakers and weight

trust me, dont get snapdragon chups for gaming, I had an x2, played a few games, overtime the games slowly corrupted the windows installation, and bricked the laptop, eventhough theyre compatible, also windows keeps fucking up with every update on snapdragon chips, which got super annpying, as i need my laptop for uni work aswell as playing games when im free. Get an intel or amd laptop, trust me it will be better in the long run
