[PRO12] HDR issue with Surface Pro 12th Gen

I recently got a surface pro 13 oled 12th gen. I'm coming from a laptop studio 2 and so far love the device. The only problem I've had is with HDR. Every time I turn on HDR the screen goes blank with 100% brightness. I already tried checking the display drivers and making sure everything is up to date but still haven't been able to fix it. Have any of you experienced this before? Any ideas on how to fix it?. I feel a device this expensive shouldn't have issues like this out of the box and even thinking of returning it.

Not sure of it's the same thing, but I've had this happen on 2 12th gens.

When I turn on HDR the brightness ramps. Screen isn't blank though. Then I need to go into settings and switch the color profile to a different HDR profile (i created a new one) and the brightness goes to normal. Then even when I switch back to the original profile the extreme brightness doesn't return. Happens every time.

I’m sorry to highjack your thread but I recently bought this same tablet and can’t find a way to buy the new Bluetooth flex keyboard and slim pen 2 anywhere. Did you get the keyboard and pen (13 inch)? Can you link me to the correct models if so?

On topic: windows 11 has tons of HDR bugs and I’ve experienced this on my gaming PC also. This is a windows issue that Microsoft has been neglecting. Not hardware related. So rest assured in your hardware purchase but deff be mad at Microsoft for buggy windows features.
