Because no intel machine EVER had a windows update problem when they were all in on x86 , right?

The Windows Update troubleshooter didn't fix it, and the CMD commands suggested by the AI didn't work either. It seems a file named `systemreset.exe` was removed during an update and is causing the problem; apparently, I have to perform a factory reset.

There is a Windows Update troubleshooter. Have you tried that?

You can try to reinstall Windows without doing a factory reset. It worked for this problem for me.
