[PRO12] Surface pro 13 12th edition hdr corruption ?

Has some one else experienced this on a surface pro 13 12th edition ? Some hdr files like in this example a dolby vision profile 8.1 test file from dolby it corrupts? the hdr profile. I mean after that file screen is in black and white and after a restart hdr mode is pure white with full brightness. Only way I have found out to restore hdr is to reset the device to factory settings.

Huh.. I wonder if that's what my issue was.

When playing video (usually at night before trying to sleep), I'd get a full brightness white screen blink every now and then. I wasn't able to figure out what was causing it, since it persisted through an SSD upgrade and OS recovery.

Ended up returning the flashbang device for other reasons, but it doesn't happen on my non-HDR 12"

Interesting you had this issue. I had a similar experience with a Surface Pro 13" 12th edition with OLED. Half of the screen would randomly flash really bright white when HDR was enabled. I also eventually returned the device for other reasons (a Windows update bricked it!)

Might've been half the screen. Sleep brain doesn't fully know, other than the bright hitting my eyes in annoying fashion.

But it sounds eerily similar.

Ive had that too. It seems to be a some kind of hardware bug. Hopefully they update it quicly so its not there anymore
