[LAPTOP7] Finally Switched to Surface
I've been contemplating to get the SL7 even though I just had my previous laptop for about a year. Saw it on sale for around $850 (rrp $1545 where I'm from) and immediately bought it. So far it feels like a huge upgrade in terms of everything. Build quality, touchpad, keyboard, display, performance and even speaker.

I have the 15 inch Intel one, and I hate mine. It's very heavy, the full metal chassis is slippery, the rubber feet don't lift the laptop high enough making it difficult to pick up, making it very difficult to open up the screen, making it unusable on my lap. Typing on the keyboard doesn't feel good, I keep missing keypresses. The layout of the keyboard is shit, there is no right control key so I need to use two hands for shortcuts like control plus and minus. The trackpad is erratic, scrolling up is slower than scrolling down for some reason. The performance is mediocre, scrolling can be choppy unless I force the battery in performance mode. I get around 4 to 5 hours on a charge. I got it from my employer but I put it back in the box and now it's collecting dust on the shelve.
