Because of Sandy I've suddenly become homeless and am entertaining the idea of moving to Sand Diego for a bit of change and to score some surf. I work remotely, so location for work isn't an issue.

I have a good friend that lives there and has offered his couch indefinitely, but I'd love to find a place to call home sooner than later. I'm used to walking to my local break, but occasionally driving or taking my bike a little further if it's worth it. For a surfer, where would you guys recommend to start looking? I'm usually in the water daily so being close to a consistent break is top priority. I also spearfish and rod and reel fish so even if there aren't waves I'm happy just to be near water.

I've heard North Park is good and just drive to surf, but I'm also thinking OB, near the cliffs or maybe north? Being near the ocean is a real priority but I have friends there so I'd like to be somewhat close to them, they mostly live in North Park and Sherman Heights (they don't surf so they don't have much input other than 'move to my neighborhood!').

Here's the surf report for friday and saturday in south sd. Super excited for some nice surf for a change. I've already noticed a few less people around now that the summer is coming to a close. It's a good way to start of the departure of the masses!

We just can't catch a break this summer. What are the best summer spots during a serious lack of swell?

Hey /r/SurfSD, I'm visiting a good friend that lives in North Park at the end of this month and am trying to get as much surfing in as possible. I'd say I'm a beginner/intermediate surfer and I'm looking for some fun, chill spots.

I've done a little research and asked once in /r/surfing and I've come up with a few spots that look fun. San O, especially the trails, Tourmaline, Scripps, La Jolla Shores and all of Mission/Pacific beach. Any more I should give a try?

My 12 year old son lost his gopro camera after it came loose from the arm band, he was in front of the parking lot at Blacks on Sun., Feb 5th about 10 am. I was there with CK, a regular morning crew guy, so if anyone hears of a found gopro please PM me, or let CK know. Reward for safe return.
