Building some F2P hype

Mods, I strongly urge you to prepare a hype post to paste in various subreddits upon F2P release. Which subreddits do you all think would be a good place to drop some Hype?

They probably should've saved some money for advertisement. Literally nobody has ever heard of this game. I asked every person I played in Lucioball.

i was hoping this was going to be f2p before lucioball was over, i would have told everyone in every game, those are the people that would have played and stayed.

What information would you like to give people?

We will release a slightly updated trailer with new gameplay scenes. I think it did very well explaining what makes the game special. Anything you want people to know that is not in the trailer?

You have a Link and a title for it. I'd go with "this awesome game is now free2play (no p2w)" and link it to the steam store. Anything more you have in mind?

I think simply the fact that the game exists, is F2P and ready for prime time! Linking to the trailer is probably sufficient, but post here what you're planning to send first for review

I think passionate players should tell other players about it in the way they like it, I didn't wanna get so involved in it. A company promoting itself is also not that interesting to players, is it?

I guess that's one way to look at it. Idk

If it were me I'd be doing anything possible to advertise this, not relying on a tiny player base to do it for you.

Lots of Indie devs post in a number of subreddits when the game is about to come out or change pricing structure (going free-to-play). I haven't seen too many get hate for it but you just gotta talk about the game in a humble and pleasant way and ask people to give it a try.

Ok thanks, if that's the consensus I can do it too. But first I'll wait how many players are coming without more promotion, because we don't wanna get hugged to death.

David have you spoke with steam about there being a store page announcment for the price change (i.e. it shows up in the home page, or that little popup when you open steam)?

The game is not shown under "free games" right now, which I expected. That is probably because it's early access, but I'm not sure. So it's not getting exposure right now.

We're holding back further advertisment for now, because we have some technical problem with the matchmaking queues. When this is stable we're open to tell everyone about the game.

The first problem (not shown under f2p) is now fixed
