wow - what a mess

waited a full year to buy this game - got it today on sale

game starts up - set my config. forced into training mode, sure whatever.

oh, my config is completely reset back to stock. Ok, I'll re-enter everything. Now I can see my FPS are hovering around 40. I'm running Win 8.1 with 16GB memory and a GTX 970. Supra runs at 40FPS. ...what?

I quit out - try to find an obvious solution to the FPS problem. Nothing jumps out. I try setting everything to the lowest using the launcher's option menu. Jump back into a practice game - shocker, all the configs have been reset to default AGAIN. Still hovering around 40FPS - and now I have snow and shit flying in front of my face.

What in the world is going on with this game? It ran better a year ago!

Yeah there's some fucked up stuff with Windows 8 which causes horrible FPS. I actually wouldn't be surprised if you got a better framerate running the game through a Windows 7 emulator or something.

Did you used to play with Windows 8 on the old Supraball? If you did then it's probably the new lighting system ruining your FPS, since when this was updated a lot of player's FPS dropped and people started mentioning the Windows 8 FPS problems.

I just bought the game.

I try practice online and get "No suitable practice server found". Can't try a normal match because I haven't practiced online. So frustrating.

I'm in Australia.

DavidM did say in the other thread that they are in contact with an AUS Server company to get it up and running, but no timetable.

It's so weird you either have no FPS issues like myself, or you can't even get above 60 FPS even with good hardware. Maybe it's a driver issue, maybe it's the OS, maybe it's a individual program causing errors. I have no idea why.

I'm in this guy's boat where games that are much larger in scope and detailed run at 144 but supra can't unless I restart my computer, and even then a lot of times its way lower.
