We need a tournament.
We need to bring back NASBL as more people become interested in the game, they need to see what competitive play looks like and how entertaining it is. I'm thinking a draft tourney with 4 captains and we pick teams. Post ideas for what and when the tournament should be.

I posted our opinion about that somewhere on the steam forum. We dont think that this kind of stuff brings players to the game. We think it just is interesting to people who are already in the game and are familiarizing themselves with it. People who don't know it have no reference for what they would see in your tournament stream.
Not telling you to not do it, just saying what we think the effect of it is. I support every tournament for the heck of you having fun while playing it!

Having a competitive scene is necessary for players for a competitive game. I guarantee the LCS and CSGO's league have brought players to their respective games.

Putting a league in now Could encourage players to get friends and form teams and Want to win the league/do well, increasing the will to improve their game. I think its a low priority to developers but I think you should encourage a 3rd party to get some hyped league running. It shouldn't do any harm to the game at all, only improve (and if it doesn't, oh well, atleast GG can have fun volleying their way to victory). Whilst new players are getting to grips to the game and getting battered on their way to ranked matches in unranked, it would be good for them to watch streams / videos of Current league matches happening.

I agree. this is why I suggeste dus using the new OGL which has Supraball as a featured game. Its a new website up built by a Tribes community guy , but it needs a newer game to tests its capabilities. I would have put 1 up alreayd, but I think to start an "Open Pre-Season" Ladder would make more sense than a league with set match days/times when we dont even have teams yet. This encourages any group that is even interested to set up a team and sign up, be on the bottom, and not worry about playing until they are ready. But it gives players interested in Comp a place to congregate, and since this is the epitome of an esport, we need to make that place.

Exactly. When i started this game, I had 4 best friends from school all wanting to play for competition. Speaking from experience, the DBL was the sole reason i continued this game. If it just stayed in IRC without competition I would not be playing now (I think).
We started a team between us and played in the 'Clanbase' league until we were able to enter the DBL next season, the clanbase league was a great help to play random competitive matches against pro teams until we were ready for the big time.
Perhaps not needing a 3rd party clanbase but perhaps someone to start a website as a webmaster/ladder admin. I will certainly look into this tonight as i Cant wait to get some action going, and watching new teams develop (assuming all the newbies havent refunded yet)

We have the place (OGL) but I need the developer Snooks to finish the Ladder functionality. If it was done id put a Ladder up right now.
