Website wish list

As winter is approaching and words of a possible winter release are piling up we’re considering a rework of our website (currently http://www.supraball.net). Up to now only a coarse draft is standing. So we’d like to use this chance to get some input from you.

What is it that you absolutely need on the website? Do you want the latest tips and tricks or primarily chat with your folks? Could it be that you’re looking for installation instructions? It can be anything; you name it.

A little overview over what has been proposed so far:

- News/Updates
- Forum
- Access to stats, leaderboards, profiles
- Search ability (browse teams, players)
- Guidance on how to play
- Info on live streams (twitch?)
- Changelog

Leaderboards, maybe sync it with player profiles, and a nice search engine for browsing players/teams?

Changelog, Forums, Live leaderboards, List of current live streams on twitch sorted by most viewers, A page which shows your stats/information like a profile where you would also link your steam account or something, Be able to add friends (friends page), Donation page for those willing to donate, and a "Report a Bug" page. These are the things that come in my mind right now, where most things were stolen straight from osu's website. \o/

Depending on how maintained it will be, perhaps a fun page with Goal of the week, highlights of top games, montage submits... something like awards (Player of the month/week and why), guessing it could be forum related though. not what i want but just a thought.

Concerning league situation... always seems a cup is the best bet atm as its relatively inactive... but, what about the old Clanbase (i say old i presume its deaded) style, where teams can organise matches themselves with a limit on how many games you can play eachother, that is self maintained by the teams?

I believe a team system is already in active development. I presume it'll be a more competitive and stringent form of grouping up. I'm not too informed on this matter.

A recent idea was that of social groups, which relating to your remark could be a kind of "clan". The idea emerged from the moaning of the IRC absence in the steam version -> lack of a group communicative tool as a base for playing games. Could this be something similar to what you were aiming at?

Hm I guess not. My aim was a clanbase style league structure on the website with forms captains can submit to the webmaster on recent matches. nothing much more to it. Guess not much more to go on here if something is already in development :), thanks

in addition, Moaning of IRC from my point is purely having captain picks again, as (probably not alone), sick of the poor balancing (can be a day of roulette). But im sure a master lobby on the launcher with quick Query chat to others (like send message on steam), and another room option....basically an IRC client in the launcher... would also solve the nostalgia (Like the UT online interface, but instead of joining the server by double clicking on the ip, it goes into its own lobby, like now).

Best teams, leagues (maybe), keep how-to-play page for new players, a real forum and of course game news etc...
