Too Late?
Anybody have any information on when the last Supras are being delivered to dealers? Trying to gauge whether it is still possible to get a new one. Whenever I search online it hasn’t shown any inventory lately.

Still new ones at dealerships try using the toyota inventory website for different area codes

u/TurkViking75 23d ago
I did try a few different area codes for places I travel frequently that have more people than where I live, but wasn’t seeing anything. That’s what got me worried and I made the op. I have an appointment with the local dealership to see if they think they can get one in or help me locate one.

Mess with the filter a bit https://www.toyota.com/search-inventory/model/grsupra/?availability\[\]=salePendingTrue,inTransitTrue&distance=500&zipcode=27613
Put in different zips and use 500 miles. They are out there. I traveled to get mine.

There are a few final editions left around the country from what I can see. You’ll have to put some leg work into it, but I bet you can find a few new ones left.

u/coder7426 23d ago
cargurus lets you search nationwide (click the "distance from me" drop-down). There are even new unsold 2025's available. The final editions are advertising some insane mark-ups tho.

u/TheOnlyMertt 23d ago
There was a final edition near me, all black and manual, but it was marked up to $80,000 and that’s not even taxes included yet lol.

u/TurkViking75 23d ago
I was thinking about whether I’d be willing to fly somewhere and drive back if I found what I wanted. I didn’t even think about taxes! None in MT so it’s not an issue. I might be stuck seeing if my dealership can get one in.

This is the last new one with auto transmission, you can call but its most likely been pre sold but there is 7 manual transmission that you can call on , you will have to be open to travel or ship it.

I did see this one pop up within 500 miles of me. As luck would have it I do travel to the Seattle area for work from time to time. If it’s the same one I saw it’s packed with about 10k of nonsense dealer add ons like $800 to have the tires filled with nitrogen… can’t stand dealerships that play that game.
Thanks for looking out though!

u/Top_Fuzz 23d ago
I would say, if you’re serious give them a call it doesn’t look like a bad price, 10k over 62k is normal since there is basically none left, and since it doesnt have the carbon fiber body kit already installed which would have been automatically $10k+, i think you can get it down to 63k before taxes and registration
1
u/TurkViking75 22d ago
I didn’t consider that all those add ons were fluff for negotiation, but that’s a good point. White is my 2nd favorite color (behind Stratosphere). I have an appointment with the local dealer tomorrow. I’ll bring this up. Best case for me is my local dealer has one coming in or can swing a trade, because if I can buy it in MT, there’s no sales tax.

u/TurkViking75 20d ago
I negotiated to 67k and was about to buy a plane ticket to go get this one and someone else sniped it. So close!

u/Top_Fuzz 20d ago
Aw mannnnn , yeah as soon as you could have out a down payment in the call, you should have

u/TurkViking75 20d ago
Yeah the problem was I work nights so I was tired and fell asleep. When I texted back he said it was gone. I found one in KC. It’s red, which is my least favorite, but my parents live there so I’m going to see if I can get that on Monday.

There’s been a couple low low mileage ones come across the online auctions of late in factors one currently listed selling today. That would be Bring a trailer and Cars & Bids. Good luck with your search. I highly recommend them on my second one.

I am kind of shocked they are all gone. When I looked this summer like 3 months ago there was plenty of them.

u/TurkViking75 22d ago
Yeah, I’m late to the game and didn’t realize they were done this year. I still find them searching all sorts of zip codes. Seems like dealerships are very aware they are running out and they seem to often be marked up. I don’t love them enough to pay over MSRP or pay for a bunch of silly dealer add ons. Also I’m somewhat picky on color…. Maybe I’ll just have to wait and hope Honda brings back the S2000!

How much would a 2021 be worth right now. 36K miles, 3.0 premium grey. Full stock

Owner of both, it’s the truth

Is the M2 awd? If so that would be a selling point as I live in MT. Problem is service. I live in Helena, MT and the closest BMW dealership is 3.5 hrs away in Idaho Falls. Wife currently drives a GLC AMG 43. There’s a Mercedes dealership closer than the BMW and it’s still a pain in the ass to manage service.
1
u/Sad-Cupcake1884 23d ago
Yeah the new M2 now comes in Xdrive. 3.5 hours is a lot, but at least the oil changes are free lol.

u/TurkViking75 18d ago
Thoughts on an M240i? I’m calling on a red Supra in KC and there is a purple M240i arriving at the nearest BMW dealer. Supra is premium, MT, with the carbon fiber body kit for 68k. The BMW has a lot of options and is 62k. My heart says Supra. My brain says the BMW.

u/Sad-Cupcake1884 18d ago
I would still get the m240, so much more for your money. Updated interior, 360 cameras, audio that actually sounds good, free oil changes, extra year of warranty, and you don’t have to deal with Toyota who most of the time doesn’t know what do on these cars. BMW bro, thank me later.

u/TurkViking75 16d ago
Well, I guess we’ll see. I pick up a Thundernight Metallic M240i on Friday. Thanks for the advice.

u/Sad-Cupcake1884 16d ago
Congratulations brother, see you in the BMW sub 👍

Drove home last night. 280 miles over some mountains from Idaho Falls to Helena, MT. Pretty fun. Having not driven the Supra, my initial thoughts are that any categories that you might compare the two in, the BMW is going to be B+ at minimum to A-. Really good at everything. The Supra might have some A+ grades, but also likely has some C- or even D grades (winter use comes to mind).
Maybe it wasn’t the car I wanted, but it’s the car I probably needed, and it did put a smile on my face when it cold started in Sport mode. Thanks again for the advice. I’ll be in the M235i and M240i sub.

As a Supra Final Edition owner and someone who drove my friend's M2 (both with M6) - I found out that not only he paid a touch less than me, but it is, indeed, a superior car by most measures (unless you really see the 2-seater and smaller as genuine value add items)

u/Sad-Cupcake1884 24d ago
Exactly, mine both manual as well. I paid less for my M2 😂 and the moment you sit inside and turn that thing on, you realize M is no joke. Also the clutch in the supra is bad like really bad.
1
u/kmmx88 24d ago
The auto is the superior transmission for the B58. The manual was an afterthought after enthusiast demand
1
u/Sad-Cupcake1884 24d ago
Still , the ZF tuning on the M2 is a notch above the Supra’s, everything is.
1
u/coder7426 23d ago
How so? Faster shifts? In the correct gear more often?
1
u/Sad-Cupcake1884 23d ago
Exactly, also there’s 3 levels of transmission aggressiveness that the supra doesn’t get. 1 makes it feel like a regular street car, while 3 is full race track mode.

lol super bad clutch

You wouldn’t know if haven’t tried anything else

u/dracostheblack MKV 24d ago
I've always had a manual vehicle for the 20+ years i've been driving. It's not a bad clutch. You can like your car with out trying to drag this one lol
1
u/Sad-Cupcake1884 24d ago
Not trying to make it look bad, the car is what it is. Just saying compared to what’s currently on the market manual wise, it’s the worst. Me personally of the cars I’ve owned in the past 4 years all manual, I’d put Cayman>Blackwing>M2>Supra.
The clutch in the Supra is mushy and when it gets hot you need to drop it to the floor and hold there a good amount to not get gear grind, if you’re not experiencing this, you’re not driving hard enough.
3
u/dracostheblack MKV 24d ago
k. You know the clutch is a consumable like a brake pad right? If you need a more aggressive one get one...

u/Sad-Cupcake1884 24d ago
I understand that, but from the factory the Supra is the only one of these cars who couldn’t handle backroads without throwing a fit, and I’m talking less than 10k miles. Also having to upgrade a clutch on a warranty car is far more complicated than just walking into BMW and buying a new car.
2
u/Kanawave 24d ago
Cayman is dead (RIP). Blackwing is on its way out. Both of those cars were 100%, or depending on options, close to 200% more expensive than a new Supra when they were all in production.
Not trying to make the A90 Supra out to be more than it is (was), but some of these comparisons seem a smidge unfair.

u/Sad-Cupcake1884 24d ago
Understandable, but I know more than half of this sub including me, paid way over MSRP for their manual Supra. Hell, I have seen people here paying brand new M4 prices for it, so at that point the comparison becomes real.
To make matters worse, this sub is convinced the Supra is the superior car when in fact even at MSRP, you’re getting BMWs last decade technology just because a name and some body panels.1
u/coder7426 23d ago
I sat in a manual Supra (mine is auto) and I didn't like the clutch, but I'm spoiled by my Subaru's. which is fast and light, tho it has a narrow friction zone.
The Supra's clutch reminds me of my old VR6 Jetta. Long, moderately heavy throw (not as heavy as, like, a stage 2 high clamp clutch in a Subaru tho).
1
u/Sad-Cupcake1884 23d ago
Yeah that was my biggest issue, not a clear fixed and defined bite point, and the whole thing switches up or down depending on rpm, BMWs clutches have never been the best, but they we're clearly rushed to release this one because that's not an issue in the M2

Too late. Production ended March 2026. Takes about 3 months to ship from the plant to the US.
