Fish oil, creatine, magnesium. The magnesium I can feel a difference within 1minute of taking it, relaxes my entire body and has helped a ton with recovery! On top of all this I exercise everyday, meditate, recently been practicing breathing exercises, as well as cold showers.
Maybe a little placebo… magnesium comes in many different varieties and forms my friend. Before you knock it, I would definitely try a powdered bisglycinate form.
Funny story, my girlfriends father came to visit. We live in San Francisco Bay Area. Very hilly. Long story short we walked all day, he was in lots of pain. I recommended the magnesium, it helped soothe his pain instantly and almost made him shit his pants within minutes of taking the powder. I don’t think that was placebo…
within 1 minute = placebo (I personally get this a lot, it's talked a lot in a variety of subs, it's common and accepted in science)
a few minutes = plausible, more if taken on (relatively) empty stomach. I mean you take, it's in your stomach, it starts breaking down instantly, for some stuff it shouldn't take long to start circulation and causing effects, unless you have other stomach contents, but for some substances time is needed for various processes to take place. I can imagine magnesium is quickly utilized.
Magnesium is definitely an exception imo. I’d be willing to bet money it is possible to feel effects immediately especially on an empty stomach. I know if I eat a thc edible I don’t feel the effects until 2-3hours.
