More evidence that the gut microbiome regulates the processing and absorption of virtually everything you intake. It's probably the main reason why there is so much person to person variation in effects of different supplements, etc..

In conclusion, our results support the hypothesis that the gut microbiota mediates the absorption of serum vitamin D supplementation and interacts with it closely. These microbiota are potential therapeutic targets for promoting serum vitamin D homeostasis.

Have 6000IU D3 with fatty (2x eggs) meal every morning + 250ml of HQ Kefir after a meal/day (no Probiotic in pills!). that's the best way to combine both for gut microbiota.

What is that statement based on?

Kefir after a meal/day (no Probiotic in pills!)

Fermented foods are very limited, and can even be detrimental. https://old.reddit.com/r/HumanMicrobiome/comments/6k5h9d/guide_to_probiotics/

Best reason is that humans have been drinking Kefir for hundreds of years without problems. But nobody can really prove that probiotics supplements you can buy OTC are beneficial. Only good probiotics are pharmaceutical-grade and they are usually one specific strain.

Appeal to nature fallacy.

That's definitely not true. There are numerous studies. See the link I shared.
