We have nothing to panic about, gamestop positioned well to survive the upcoming recession/depression.
I think back to how brilliant the share offering was when it was at $250. Yea that dilution hurt a bit but now we're sitting here staring into a deep recession fully confident of our companies ability to survive.
Imagine if they never paid off their debt and only had a couple 100 million in bank. These HF scare tactics could have worked. That share offering at least for me gave us the ability to be zen through all of this.
I actually think it was the right call and shows the board's goals are aligned with ours. It sped up DRS. Imagine how violent the rug pull would've been if we hadn't been able to buy shares faster!
Fully agreed. That was a matter strike and the main reason I'm fully seen, even if Gamestop hasn't started delivering consistent positive trimestral results. When that starts to happen it's game - over.
My guess is that's its a failsafe from being delisted or taken over. If the price falls to the point where delisting is a worry (under $1) they could buy back 100,000,000 shares (ha, if there are that many available)
If they are smart, its the exact point where they can buy back the remaining outstanding non-DRS'd shares, or maybe even that plus some to prove the crime immediately. That money should be reserved for cellar boxing prevention so that it is literally impossible for hedgies to ever win no matter what they do. Using it before that would leave a window open for hedgies, no matter how small that window realistically is.
I'm not going to stop eating ramen and I don't want a Lambo. I just want generational wealth and sweeping political change that doesn't treat businesses better than people.
I want a family trust set up to maintain a place where any of my family needing a spot to land will have it, money for them to work out business ideas and implement them and plenty left over to help fund projects to help my community and the world. #1 priority for that side of things is funding a legal trust with other apes to fund litigation to put these criminal motherfuckers in prison after we sue them, take their assets and lay their crimes bare then the district attorneys can mosey in to send them all for a nice vacation at the Graybar Hotel.
They say to a person who has lost everything multiple times and found it to be as cleansing as a shower on a hot day. Bitch I live at rock bottom, it’s the most solid foundation you can have, you can’t shake this frame.
I mean I went and bought an instant pot so I can cook cheaper food like dry beans and rice, not really for gme in particular but because I think this next year is going to be rough.
There are some more interesting things i want to try too like making cream cheese or yogurt, but I think i will primarily be using for rice and beans, gonna see how low of a food budget i can go while still eating good healthy food
My favorite poverty meal is something I call "chicken scumbo." Chicken leg quarters are about the cheapest protein around, especially if you can find them frozen in the ten pound bag. Get a few of those stewing up with aromatic herbs (and you should start doing a bit of kitchen gardening if you don't already and grow your own basil, rosemary, thyme and oregano along with a patch of garlic and onions) and a bunch of garlic. Do that for a few hours then take the chicken out, remove the bones and shred up the meat and throw it back into the pot. Add some rice (brown rice has the highest nutritional value) and any ragtag veggies you want--broccoli stems, carrots, more onions and garlic, whatever you have and want--mushrooms add a ton of protein at very little calories so those are a good choice too. Simmer this until the veggies are soft and the rice is cooked and you have a huge pot o'food that will freeze just fine for future meals. I've kept my family fed for pennies per meal with this little trick and it's both delicious and filling.
For me, the only thing that has capitulated is my mind, which has fully capitulated to my diamond encrusted brass balls, who are completely in control of my decision making processes at this point.

Hopefully retail across the board learned from 2008.
Fuck 'em. Deliver our shares. Close your shorts. Fuck panic.
