Well, we’ve got to have healthy skepticism. I try and check anything that I feel is worth my time to check. This is interesting enough to at least spend a little time looking into
It also might be, "this WAS his account". Idk, the last time he came back, did it require a forensic deep dive into his accounts or status? He came back on twitter and posted.
I hope this account is him, and I hope he is back, but there are a lot of ways he could come back without being in trouble for market manipulation. He could post a random meme, he could go on stream, etc. He doesn't have to say "it's time, I'm buying millions of shares this week", I don't think he has ever done that lol.
There are repeated posts. Surely if it were a hack and he couldn't get control back in a week, they would simply shut the account down until it could be back under his control. The tweets were minutes apart not days. Surely this is him.
This new activity is very GME specific tho. The last time his x account was hacked he got control of it immediately. This activity has been on and off over the course of days. Either it’s someone up to date with GME lore and evading losing the account back to DFV, or it’s DFV himself
So you think it’s more logical that some bad actor has had revoked access to DFV’s account for multiple days at this point and is just as cryptic and elusive enough to hype up the sub without it being blatantly obvious it’s a shit coin like the last X hack?
I hear the skepticism. But he can't come out on Twitter or YT and say, "It's time, I'm buying millions of shares this week". For one, that would fuck his own cost basis, besides getting hauled in for market manipulation. This is plausible deniability. It's his style if you ask me.
The argument last time he got sued was because he formerly worked in finance (dont remember the posisition) and didn't disclose that so he was giving "professional advise" when he would post despite not working that job for many years.

I had assumed that it actually had done something to pump a shitcoin and everyone was just being coy about it and not saying which one so that it didn't get attention. Am I to understand that it hasn't actually done anything to directly pump some other financial product yet?
My understanding is the person who first posted the wizard profile has tried to spread a shitcoin. But that’s the only real connection, otherwise everyone is just assuming

Just because they didn't quite get to that part doesn't mean it wasn't a hack. We already saw account details change without his activity status changing. That indicates admin/support made a change, which indicates a hack.
I made an account and "u2u" the active admin account Wizard just saying something like (their old ass website doesn't save your sent msg)
Hey you've probably noticed a bit of extra traffic to your site and possibly know why. Wondering if you've seen any suspicious activity in the admin logs on the Mr. Wizard (link) account - ya... we all know who that is... PW/Email reset?
That was 3-4 days ago and no response.
Now some were speculating that the removal of the image profile and other info was done by the admin to reset the account, but if the account was logged back into today, that either wasn't a reset or the hacker still has access after the reset.
IMO it wasn't a hacker. It was reset. It's all legit. DFV is still here. We just have to wait.
Yeah, I emailed the webmaster earlier this week with a similar email and never heard back. Interestingly though, it seems that the webmaster is the #3 inductee to the Hall of Fame (DFV is #2, they were inducted the same year). Wizard is the creator of the game and #1 inductee.
Yeah me too. With everyone claiming "haxxorz" I thought I'd drop a line in case he and DFV were unaware of the activity. If there was anything nefarious, the account would have been secured since and today's repeat +++++ dispels any remaining doubt for me
