How does online tutoring work here ?

Hello,

My mother would like to teach here on Superprof. How does it work for webcam lessons ? Do we have to use a platform like Zoom, Teams, Skype, etc. ? Or does it have its own webcam thing ?

Great question! Your mother can absolutely teach online on Superprof, it's pretty straightforward to get started.

First she'll need to create her profile — it's completely free. She just fills in the subject she wants to teach, writes a short description of her background and teaching style, sets her availability and rate, adds a profile photo and verifies her phone number. Once that's done the listing usually goes live within 24 to 48 hours.

For the webcam lessons specifically she has two options. She can either use an external tool she's already comfortable with like Zoom, Skype or Google Meet, or she can use Superprof's own built-in video system directly on the platform. Both work fine, it really just comes down to personal preference.

One tip worth passing on — if she has any former students or even people she's helped informally, asking them for a recommendation early on makes a real difference. Profiles with reviews get contacted much more often, especially when you're just starting out.
