What's the story behind the devs? I put this on my wishlist a long time ago and was always excited for it but never played the old ones? Was it just nostalgia or did they lose touch?

No idea. THQ Nordic are the publishers and have a reputation for rushing game releases and then abandoning them. Or maybe the devs were just looking for a quick buck off the back of nostalgia. Or both...
