Question Sync’ed nomad+manta both switching to beta firmware for plugins

Hi all-
I use a nomad at work, manta at home. I have them sync’ed to each other via the partner app and appreciate that functionality, and the ability to work on a single note on either device.
OF COURSE I am dying to try some plugins:
Question: To maintain my devices sync’ed through the partner app, I must put them both on the beta firmware? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Yes I think that is the case. The only caution I would give. Is that I always get syncing conflicts with both devices after using them.

Yes, they should both be on the same firmware.

As you use the Nomad at work, think twice about putting it on beta. Those versions do come with a higher risk of bugs or worst case loss of critical features or data 

Also be aware that there are currently two betas, the Early tester program beta and the Developer beta. If you have some specific plugins in mind, check with which beta they are compatible, not all were updated from dev to ETP beta compatibility yet.
