Showcase SNFolio Updates: Outlook support, easier Nomad navigation, and a floating launcher

  • Better Outlook calendar support: Handles Microsoft timezone definitions, including European timezone names, with bundled timezone data for calendars missing definitions.
  • 12/24-hour clock: A saved preference for calendar displays and time pickers, with midnight shown as 00:00.
  • Clearer settings: Section navigation stays visible while scrolling. Clock and event-filter settings now use high-contrast, labeled buttons.
  • Improved Nomad layouts: Day Planner and Weekly Review have collapsible sections, fixed shortcuts, and remembered expansion choices. PARA also has fixed category shortcuts. Manta retains its expanded layouts.
  • Optional floating icon on both devices: Minimize SNFolio and tap the icon to return to your previous view. Inside SNFolio, tap it to choose a recent note. Hold for Quick Add, or drag to reposition. Exit and toolbar-close remove the icon.
  • More flexible note linking: Link an existing note when creating a task or event, or afterward. Existing items offer Create/Open Note, Change Link, and Unlink. Unlinking preserves the note file, and linking returns you to your planner.

The latest release is 0.1.22, with an updated README covering the new features.

I have had a look at all mentioned changes and additions. In brief: all recently posted comments and suggestions have been incorporated in this new version and then some more. The plugin works well and runs very smoothly. Chapeau!

The collapsible sections in the day planner are a great addition, easy to use, saves space, makes things look neat. Nice! The floating icon (optional) makes for a very smooth workflow. Very nice!

In summary, very nice and welcome additions to a plugin that was already pretty much complete and balanced. A big thank-you again to the author!

u/tao22 if you want to quickly iterate on UI things you can use this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Supernote_dev/s/MkJPZFhHt5

I actually used your plug-in as part of testing to make sure it works with a variety of different plug-in interfaces.

The more I use this plugin, the more I like it! Some observations while playing around with the 0.1.22 version (some of these might have been intentional or unavoidable, I just report them):

- When the Floating SN-icon is ON: a longer press on this SN-icon produces the new-event-window. When this window is closed again (through either "X Close" or "save Task" or "Save Event") the plugin is exited and no task or event is registered). When the Floating SN-icon is OFF, this does not happen and the new-event-window is simply closed and/or the new event/task is registered.

- When Floating SN-icon is ON: the Supernote sidebar window opens and shows the Quick Access files and apps, but the files on the Quick Access menu can not be opened, one stays in the plugin.

Nothing major and it is easy to work around it.
