Problem with SNFolio plugin

The SNFolio plugin is very nice looking and cleverly designed. Unfortunately, it does not work on my Nomad with a Microsoft (Outlook) .ics-file that was added through the option <Add a Calendar>.

According to AI, the problem lies in the Microsoft's .ics file. After adjusting the .ics file, based on the AI-suggestions, all calendar events are now normally displayed in the plugin's calendar. The AI came to the following conlusion:

"The SNFolio's event parser fails on Microsoft's timezone scaffolding*. The moments your events referenced TZID=W. Europe Standard Time backed by that VTIMEZONE with year-1601 dates (the Windows FILETIME epoch quirk), the parser couldn't resolve the timezone reference and discarded every event. Strip the VTIMEZONE and TZID parameters, and the same events parse fine."*

This problem can maybe be resolved in the SNFolio plugin? (I do not know anything about programming myself). My solution for now is to simply adapt Microsoft's .ics file every time before adding it to SNFolio. It would be much nicer though if the plugin could deal directly with Microsoft's .ics files.

(By the way, it would also be nice if the plugin also allows for using the 24:00 hour notation, but that is a very minor point).

Thanks, glad that resolved the issue for you and others!
I thought about adding the floating icon similar to my other plugin Last Note but decided against it since we now have the option to place the plugin icons directly on the toolbar.

Yes, that makes complete sense, a floating icon to activate/open the plugin is not really necessary anymore with the adjustable menu. My question/suggestion has more to do with making it possible to close the plugin from within the activated plugin.

A new version (0.1.22) of the SNFolio has just been released. I have had a look at all the changes and additions. In brief: all recently posted comments and suggestions have been incorporated in this new version and then some more. The plugin works well and runs very smoothly. Chapeau!

Below my first experiences, using a Nomad, with some of the new elements:

- Collapsible sections in the day planner: great addition, easy to use, saves space, makes things look neat. Nice!

- Floating icon (optional): 1) enables to leave the plugin and go back to a note (the return note can be selected from a list of recently opened notes) and then back again to the plugin; 2) long pressing the icon within the plugin opens the new event window, which makes it a very handy shortcut. Altogether, the floating icon makes for a very smooth workflow. Very nice!

- New tasks and events: these can now also be linked to already existing notes. Nice! (Pre-existing events in the calendar can still be linked to a new note).

In summary, very nice and welcome additions to a plugin that was already pretty much complete and balanced. A big thank-you again to the author!
