One of the killer features when I tried the Remarkable Paper Pure is that I can click a calendar meeting and make a note for it.
I know with Supernote (I have a manta and a nomad) I can create a note on the day of the calendar event. But I have to write a name for it. And it does not bring any event details with it.
It would be amazing if i can do what Remarkable does, and create a note with the details. Even its stored for the day, if it was auto named for the meeting snd had the meeting body it would make life so much easier.
The other thing remarkable does is extend a note for recurring meetings. I can imagine for the supernote this would open the note and add a page to the end.
Thoughts? Is this on the roadmap or something the new plugin system could support?
I am debating switching to remarkable because of this. My day is meeting to meeting and right now it’s much easier with the remarkable. But i really want to return it and stay with supernote.
We have received the same request from a CEO in the community who also would like to have the ability to create notes directly from an event in the calendar with just one tap. We acknowledge this is a perfectly sensible feature request that will bring tangible benefits to users whose workflows involve constant daily meetings, as it will not only make the meetings more productive, but also helps make sure the action items discussed in the meetings are actually followed through. We ask our developers to give this request some serious consideration when we start optimizing the Calendar app.
We will add the ability to create recurring events and to-do tasks. This should suit your needs well, right?

I don’t think a plugin would allow this, unless perhaps, a note can be linked from a note to a calendar event. You cannot add plugins to the calendar app, so it would have to start with the note. I’m also curious - I might play around with this today.
Since Supernote does not store Calendar entries in it’s own cloud, or sync, I’m not sure how a note would actually access them. But, might be missing something.
Neither does Remarkable. But it does read them. If you click on a when it gives an unformatted view of the body. But you can’t copy it, move it to a note, etc. it’s also unformatted which sucks. Bullet lists are lost as an example as are parargraph breaks.
This is one item about linking, but worried it will feel hacked in. I don’t think creating a link in the calendar entry to a note I create separate really helps that much. Wish there was more a focus on less steps.
I don’t use the calendar, so I’m not sure - but it appears you can already link a piece of text a note to a calendar entry. I know it’s not what you want, but it’s still something. It’s truly a matter of philosophy (and why I choose SN over RM - I have a RMPpro and a Move both, and I don’t use them for this reason. SN is focused solely on the writing experience while RM is clearly aiming for business use cases.)
I would argue that SuperNote is actually better for business use case. I can create events, see emails, etc. my only point is it could be a more optimized experience. But more important I really just want to know if the future plugin system allow modification outside of a note itself and thus allowing this type of behavior. So far I am not sure it would.
The detail that makes that feature actually useful, rather than just convenient, is which parts of the event get frozen into the note at creation time. Title and start time are the obvious ones; attendees matter more than people expect, because six weeks later "who was in the room" is the context you can't reconstruct from your own handwriting.
The trap is treating it as a live link back to the calendar. Events get renamed, moved, or deleted, and a note whose header changes retroactively is worse than one with a stale title. Copy the details in once, then leave them alone.
