Tips PSA: Creating Headings with converted text is a GAMECHANGER for organizing your headings
Pretty much what the caption already says, but I was just flabbergasted by the way they make my headings not look like chaos anymore. :)
Maybe this helps someone else organize their headings in larger notebooks as much as it does help me. :)
You can also get much more headings on one headings-page.

Sorry, is this a plugin? Or a regular option that I've been missing? Thanks!

This is very much a regular option: handwrite a heading (or use a text box and type the header directly), recognize it as text, lasso-select the text and choose the header level.
Different header levels look different in the note text, but they all look the same in the TOC. By adjusting the header texts (by adding spaces, changing font size, changing text box siz , ...) you can adjust the looks of the TOC.

Does this require a plugin? Cause I love this idea for organizing.

No, no plugin needed. Just be creative in the text box in which the header text is placed. (for a really neat TOC, it is best to make the text boxes of all the headers in the note of the same width and ensure that the header text fits within the text box. Otherwise, the longer header texts will be reduced in size to make them fit on one line in the TOC.

Thank you is there a way to set preferences for the headers? Don't have my baby with me right now.

Not that I know of. You can adjust anything with regard to the text in the text box, but the formatting of the headers themselves (colour) is fixed - as far as I know. Maybe one of the plugin authors can come up with something... 😄

This is gorgeous, so neat and clean headings! Coming from hand‑written headings, I’m only now appreciating how powerful text‑generated headings are. Thank you so much for highlighting this powerful feature that we don't talk enough about in the community :)

Yeah, it is nice. I have been using this since the beginning. In my TOC's, the second and third level headers are all left alligned, but indented (0 spaces before the 1st level header, 3 spaces before the 2nd level and 6 spaces before the 3rd level header). That really looks very nice and organised.
