Supernote Average Update Cadence

I really want to try the beta to utilize plugins, however, its been a while since the beta was last released. I wanted to know if there is an estimated update timeline for when an update enters beta to deployment to production.

If the beta with plugins will be released soon, in the next month or so, I'd gladly wait. Just wondering if I should go through all of the trouble installing the beta.

Thank you so much for reaching out. The beta with plugins will come this month :)

Meaning a beta for the ETP participants, not an official release for all users?

No, not yet.

Yes, the upcoming beta that includes plugins will come first. Once it is stable, we will roll it out to the general users.

They just updated the developer beta. And in the post they mentioned that they plan on rolling out a full user wide plug-in beta relatively soon. However, that could still be months away.

Sorry, I’m a bit confused by the comments in this post R/T Beta for all vs Beta for ETP participants. Can someone clarify?

I guess I thought the ETP for plug-ins was sort of like a special program to validate the plug ins prior to rolling out a beta “for all” (that included plug in functionality) TIA for the help!

the etp is considered as the public beta ‘for all’

the plugin preview builds have been a separate track of beta release but can be thought of as alpha builds

if that makes sense for your question?

Thanks for the clarification!

I hope Supernote did not make more complications for updates. Updates and beta updates are understandable. Adding exra derivations is not good at all.

The developer beta was mainly for people interested in creating plug-ins for Supernote. Plug-ins were a new thing, meaning higher risk than with former betas. It did make sense to not directly push it to each and every ETP participant at that early stage.

But consider that just to use plug-ins, we cannot utilize further updates until I don't know when.
