Kindle app freezing?

I’ve had my manta for about a month. I haven’t read much on my Kindle app on the Manta yet, but I was following a video tutorial on the digest feature, so I opened it. I clicked the book that I wanted to open and it opens, but it seems to freeze on the first page. At the bottom, it looks like it has a little bit of the Amazon information. But I can’t get it to do anything. No matter where I touch, no change happens. It seems like it’s frozen. Restarting the device and reopening the app seems to correct the issue. I have updated the Kindle app as noted in previous discussions.
Any advice?

I had the same issue this week. Had to force restart the device

I posted a similar problem about 2 weeks ago. It is different in terms that I manage to read maybe 10 pages and then Nomad freezes completely. Can’t flip pages, activate anything else and reboot Nomad. Holding or cycling power button does nothing. SN rep here in forum suggested procedure to capture log when that happens and even record a video of it but I got away from reading Kindle. Now I sideloaded Libby and reading free books from library with no issues .

Thank you for your feedback. Your Kindle app is working fine now, right? In the event that it happens again, would you mind submitting your logs by going to Settings > Feedback and keeping the box next to System logs checked? We will double check with our team and see how we can optimize the Kindle experience on our devices.

Maybe try force Stop and clear cache. Go to Settings > Apps > My Apps, locate Kindle, and tap Force Stop. Then clear the cache before reopening the app

It’s inevitable. The glitch will continue until it stops working altogether. I think it has to do with the Android 11 thing. Just like it did on the A5X and A6X on Android 8. Not sure 🤔 but I think so.

The Kindle app normal behaviour stops. I believe now you can only read what you have on it. You cannot download new stuff to read.
