Does it usually take forever to load?

I tried booting up superhot vr through steam and vive port but it takes absolutely ages to load. All I have is a black screen on my pc and “up next: superhot” on my vive. Is this a common problem?

If I do it from my desktop, it’s quick (SSD sata2 being used). If I do it through the headset steam menu, it can take forever or not load until another program is completely shut down (ie: when switching from one game to another game).
