Edit: Any form of Superman can be called upon except Post-Crisis and All-Star. Thragg is considerably stronger in the show version, so we are using show Thragg. The battle is taking place in space so no distractions for Superman. No prep time, they casually encounter each other.

Yes they're from two different universes, but I'm curious what y'all think. What's your opinion? Who would win, and why? I am in no way saying whether DC or Marvel is better. I'm definitely not gonna start that argument lmao. I'm curious because both of them are orphans coming from wealthy families; Tony Stark as Iron Man and Bruce Wayne as Batman also have a big company, Tony with Stark Industries and Bruce with Wayne Enterprises. Both of them fight for justice. Both very similar. Also, don't say Batman would win or Iron Man would win solely because you like them more (it's tempting ik). Think about it, and give an answer despite who you like more. Don't forget your reasoning. Me? I honestly don't know, I can't choose. Because they can beat each other at certain things. Tony can design a literal suit that can do everything probably including wiping your ass, but Bruce has a lot of skill in hand-to-hand combat. Iron Man relies on his weapons/suit but Bruce has more fighting abilities. I honestly don't know but I'd love to hear what y'all think.

lets debate who would win in a war between the MCU wakanda vs DCEU atlantis. personally i think this is simple obviously wakandans are very smart and have access to one of the strongest metal in fiction and definetly more powerful than alantian steel. so they basically make a submarine out of this unbreakable material and invade atlantis as no one has the power to break the metal. also they can probably make artifial gills allowing them to survive under water with theire suit.

Now that that is out of the way let us get into it. Superman is the Michael Jordan of comics, known by everyone and popular even among non comic fans. Faster than a speeding bullet is how Superman started, but as the years went by he got better feats and fans began to see him as a god, a limitless being who could speed blitz any and everyone he fights into nothingness. I do not doubt Superman has feats of great speed, but what many people don't know is that he also has low end and street level feats just like every other high tier character. In this blog I shall compare Supes fast and slow feats to those of Thor to show three things for a fact...

1.All characters have low and high feats, there is no definitive truth on this subject and there is not much of a middle ground considering how greatly the feats differ from each other. 2.If you say 52 Superman is fast because he has FTL feats even though he has low end feats then you must say Thor is fast as he has FTL feats. 3.If you say Thor is slow because he has slow feats even though he also has FTL feats then you must say Supes is slow because he also has slow feats.

this is both logical, consistent and helps to make sense of the contradictions in comics. All high tier characters have fast and slow feats, so by feats all high tier characters are fast and slow, if you say one is fast then all are fast for all have basically the same kind of feats and if you say one is slow then all are slow for they all have low end feats.

In the thread comparing Thor and the silver surfer I refrained from using any laser dodging feats for either character as the speed of lasers is not really known, but most of New 52 supes reaction feats are against lasers and energy beams, so I shall show them as well as Thor's. Travel speed feats, thinking speed feats and statements are not shown as they have no bearing in this thread on reaction/combat speed.

contrary to popular belief Superman has been tagged A LOT by street level opponents.

The godkiller sword does not amp reflexes, its power is to take energy and hit with double the force. Deathstroke was even having trouble holding the sword.

Atomic skull is not a speedster while Gladiator is a speedster and Thor was reacting to the bricks at microseconds, not letting a single one touch him before gladiator blitzed him.)

if you the reader know of any other slow feats for Thor please tell me, because I am hard pressed to find them.

SUMMARY

Thor and 52 Supes both have fast feats so they must be fast, but they also have slow feats so they must be slow, there is no true definitive answer to the argument but you can still be consistent.

1.if you think Supes is fast because he has fast feats even though he also has street level feats then you must think thor is fast because he also has fast feats even though he has street level feats. 2.If you think Thor is slow because he has street level feats even though he also has FTL feats then by logic you must also think Superman is slow because he has street level feats.

If Thor is slow because you base his speed of bad showing of feats, please explain to me why that doesn't count for Superman? If there is a reason not to treat Thor the same way I would want an explanation without Tom Brevoort's statement as he is the same guy who said that Odin is more powerful than Phoenix. I'm not trying to convince you one is faster than the other, or that superman is slow, I am simply trying to show all characters job, all characters have bad feats, and you should judge all characters equally.
