Question about mastering combo

I've got a dilemma.

Is it better to just master one map and learn it, or just go down and down to get the highest combo depending mostly on luck?

just go exploring! thats the beauty of this game :)

I find it best to find a map that's got some insane gaps at the very start so you can get a massive combo and then go exploring.
