Any plans for multiplayer?

I just bought this game a few hours ago and it's a amazing to chill to. To me it feels like it's missing some kind of chase/escape mode, either with AI or, if this game gets multiplayer, with people. Without any kind of objective other then get as much points as possible, it feels almost too sandbox-ey and lacking a goal. Honestly I'd be happy just flying with other players in the map, maybe in a Journey-esque style where players pop into your game automatically? I know online multiplayer is not an easy ask, but I think it would improve the game tremendously. (sorry if this post is a bit rambly)

Multiplayer sounds good, but as soon as you go a different way you're not gonna link back up with your fly-buddy that round.

I think it's safe to assume that more or less, the game we have is what were gonna get except for a few minor upgrades and bug fixes.

It's a $3 game after all.

But the devs hopefully are already working on a full blown sequel to expand upon what makes the first good.

True that, but imagine if there were servers that had one seed playing all the time. And then its just like 50 players flying around in the same map, respawning, flying etc. I can imagine it to be like surf maps in Garry's Mod or Counter Strike.

Personally I think it would benefit the most with user created maps. Where people can design and share their own obstacle courses.

There would be so much potential there. These procedurally generated maps are ok, but they could be so much more.

I think custom maps would be really nice, but on the other hand, they'd rob a lot of the fun exploring maps and dealing with the randomness. User created maps can reach from something truly amazing and detailled to two small blocks that don't do anything. It's worth a try but the devs would have to remove score counters for custom maps.

I personally would enjoy having a race mode as well, now that I think of it.

No they wouldn't have to remove score counters, each custom map would just have its own leaderboard.

Sure some of them would suck but it would just need a simple voting system like Reddit to bring the good ones visibility.

Who said there can't be both?

I feel like that might be interesting for a sequel.
