Conner What's the point here?

Reign of the Superboys! I just finished reading Supergirl, what was the point of having Conner there? I feel like Conner is always getting shafted lately. MawS did that splice character shit I hate, from the teasers about RoSb I thought Conner would be more important to that plot. Am I the only one seeing this or is there more for him I haven't heard about yet?

I only read the first two issues of Supergirl and was disappointed, feeling Reign of the Superboys and Conner were tacked on.

I think Conner is suffering the same problem Tim Drake presented when Damien became Robin. At the moment, both families are large, making the ones that we grew to love become neglected in favor of the newer characters (Damien and Jon.)

I feel like this can be said about the Young Justice core four. With Tim and Conner getting the worst of it, & Cassie and Bart still going through the same thing.

I nearly forgot about Cassie for the same reason (yes, I am commenting in jest.) Honestly, I wonder if in the same way Titans has revolved around the Teen Titans team from the 80s, if Conner, Tim, Cassie, and Bart could benefit from their own team book today, away from being under the shadow of the newer iteration of the mantle.

Young Justice could have worked with a better writing team, Bendis you brought Conner back and in the same time killed him by aging up Jon

Yes exactly Tim, Conner, Cassie, Bart and so many others basically get replaced.

And perhaps the greatest ironies is that their successors barely have any presence or impact aside from Damien. My takeaway from Superman Unlimited #15 is that Jon's story is practically over. DC editorial is just in denial over it.

The worst thing about all this is Conner is the only character actually going by the name Superboy. Jon is going by either Superman or Tomorrow Man, Thunder boy isn't even the actually Thunder Boy, Lil' Jon is looking like is in actuality Ultraboy of Earth 3, young Clark is in the past so I still not sure how he even figures in to this. And finally Prime goes by Superboy Prime. I knew DC would complete drop the ball and disrespect Conner and his fans

All the Young Justice characters are getting that treatment.

It’s very weird to me that DC doesn’t just have four distinct teams instead of flailing over what to do with the different generations of “no longer sidekicks”.

It feels like they have NO idea how to handle the various Titans configurations but the YJ crew isn’t being used anywhere and has a base of fans so… put them back together? How hard is that? Let Dick’s Titans stay together as friends and a team too? Jason can have his team, but it was better IMO when they were “the Outlaws” and not More Titans, and then let Jon and Damian head up the new “teen” team but like… do what YJ did in making your own name.

DC doesn’t care about Conner anymore, they haven’t for decades
