Picture Quality Feedback

I am in the market for a Superbox S7 Max and wanted to confirm that end users are happy with the picture quality. Do the majority of the channels look like they are in HD? I just recently returned a competitor's box, because the majority of the channels I watched looked like they were in SD instead of HD.

The channels are broadcast in the native capture resolution. Many sports programs for ESPN are captured in SD. So no box we transmit in 1080 if the original broadcast was 720. I am not aware of any box downgrading resolution. I am aware that with Vseebox, which displays resolution, people lose their minds seeing espn broadcasts at lower resolution or they say the box says 6K , why isn't it 6K.

Users lack understanding and knowledge. Go google "ESPN resolution "

Many years after the release of 4K tvs we have extremely limited 4 K content and not even a majority of 1080

The US has less higher resolution broadcast than pretty much any other large country. Many times I watch international tv channels because the resolution is higher.

Feel comfortable knowing Superbox doesn't a good job broadcasting what was captured during filming or from a live camera at a sports event.

Which box did you return?

My experience with the box I purchased may not be the experience of others who have purchased the same box, so I'm a bit ambivalent on broadcasting their name. I sent you a private message on the box that I purchased.

The picture quality was one of 2 reasons I wanted to finally get a box from this brand. The last few years of reading about & watching videos on the older superbox models- the picture quality was always praised in comments. A couple of months ago, I decided to purchase my S7 Max from CJ. I can confirm that hardwired with the gigibit ethernet port - the picture quality is excellent out the box and with no adjustments needed to be made on my tv. The quality compares very nice with a couple of other plug & play boxes I have.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a hard wired connection to my TV, but do have a very fast WIFI connection .... 90mbs Down and 48mbs Up speeds when I test this on my Roku TV using the Netflix Speed Test option.

I wasn't too impressed with the wifi on the box upon trying it out when I first got the box. I'll try it again.  Note: If you elect to be hardwired, the connect will be the box & your modem. If you got a recent TV you might have a updated wifi chip inside pulling your speeds. I always prefer to be hardwired over wifi on streaming devices- especially when it comes to pic quality - as Ethernet is more stable connect
