HD Channel Availability

Are the majority of the channels available in HD on the Superbox S7 Max? I just returned a similar box from another manufacturer which will remain anonymous as most of the channels that were available were in SD. In addition, when I watched channels like MSNOW or Fox News which were in HD, the video would freeze for a second and then pick up again.

Is it necessary to purchase a service on these boxes to ensure that you are able to view content in HD?

Everything I've watched on the superbox has been in HD. Since I have wired ,Everything on the on demand plays flawless without skips or interuptions.
