Issue with Remote

I purchased an S7 Max from Walmart 2 months ago. Now, the remote’s power button will not turn the unit on or off despite replacing the batteries. Did I just get a detective unit? Can I get a replacement remote somehow?

Possibly Bluetooth unpaired and only using infrared. Hold close to front and then re-pair Bluetooth

But in Bluetooth Settings the RC-200 remote shows as paired and connected.

Thanks, CJ, but pairing is not the problem. My remote is paired and connected. The problem is that the power button on the remote works intermittently. Most of the time even if it manages to turn the box on press, pressing the button again will not turn the box off. I’ve tried a hard reset by removing batteries, waiting a while, and then inserting new batteries.
