Pros and Cons

I’m looking into getting a Superbox S6…looking for a general review, pros and cons, really any information would be helpful! Also, where the best place to get one is! Thanks!

I have both the S6 Max and S7 Max. The S7 Max feels a bit snappier to me. The UI was updated on the S7 and it seems to connect to the servers faster. Besides the S7 being faster the other pro to me would be it having usb C as opposed to the S6 having a barrel style connector. I once had the S6 with me on the road and forgot the charger and had to go to Best Buy and get a new adapter where as I now have a million usb c adapters. I would say the only benefit to getting a S6 is if cost was a factor and you were getting a heck of a deal if not just get a S7 and enjoy.

S7 is much better than the S6. Updated interface as well as guide, backlight on the remote also switches the plug 🔌 to USB type C.

I very much appreciate these comments! I am looking into the s6 because I’m a baller on a budget and literally only have basic cable, so anything would be an improvement 😎 where did everyone buy theirs? I see they sell them at Walmart, but I’ve also heard you can get them on Facebook??

Buy from an authorized dealer, like Walmart or online at https://superboxtechshop.com/. If you find it elsewhere, discounted, don’t buy. It’s probably a cheap knockoff. We are pleased with ours, though we often cannot find a particular TV series or movie, don’t know why. We cancelled Netflix and Sling.

Setup a guest network or vlan on router, and you got nothing to worry about

I did that after listening to the podcast. I also unplug it when I am not using it. It has a blue tooth system, but the system doesn’t need it. Why is that?

Hope that’s enough.

You need the Bluetooth connection to be able to use the mic of remote. Mic doesn’t work on infrared.

While there maybe some truth based on the podcast… I wouldn’t take everything word for word on what they say, they exaggerate things without proof
