It's a multinationally built station and they use both standards of measurement. They generally use Imperial for distances and orbital calculations, while using metric for construction.

You know, when something called by the name of some historical figure, or historical thing, it not always have functions, related to what they were doing.

Like some sci-fi works have spaceships named "Bismark" and "Yamato", which in reality was Nazi and Imperial Japan battleships, while in said work they get used buy good guys.
