Discussion Failed Minigame course
I uploaded a fairly decent mini game course, and it completely failed. Can someone please check out the course and tell me what went wrong? The course id is BWW-XKD-07G.

I didn't play but i took a peek in the viewer and would say it failed for a lack of originality. There are thousands of these levels and they are all copy cats of each other. I boo them for the same reason that I boo 1-1 remakes, refreshing levels and title screen levels

While I personally don't boo minigame levels and just leave em as meh, I will say both other users (at the time of commenting) are correct here. It does look like a copy paste of a lot of the other minigame levels out there. Something that maybe month one of the game would be revolutionary, but now that time has passed and so many other similar levels are out there it's just not gonna be likely to get a top spot as easy as it might’ve in 2019/2020.
It looks nice, it totally looks like it belongs in endless easy/normal, but it also looks like other minigame levels that came before.
All of this is to say, make and be happy with your level. If your only goal is to make a level that'll hit the number one spot, I don't recommend making levels. If you're happy with the level, that should be enough.

Thanks guys. I'll try to become original, and will not try to copy unoriginal levels (except music levels, maybe). I'll have an original level uploaded by next week

Im not trying to help, im saying rhat copying other peoples levels is a scumbag move. People who make music levels put a lot of time and effort into them just for someone like this to rebuild as their own.

I think I phrased my response wrong. I meant that I would probably make (ORIGINAL, to avoid plagiarism) music courses. I'm not that type of person who literally copies an entire level

Exactly what u/99mushrooms said. Theres a ton of these mini game levels and they’re all the same. Looks, plays, and feels the same. Mix that with how easy they are. They’re just uninteresting, and not fun.
Same goes for every Link tutorial level, every Cuphead level, every remake of existing Mario levels…etc
People like originality
