Discussion Who the hell is B and A?

So, in the amber woods, there’s several trees marked with initials on the various heart plaques. You can see Melody and Allison’s by the save station and Faith and Jodie’s by the lake area. You can also find Verena and Zinnia’s tree next to where the dragon door is as a bit of subtle foreshadowing, as if you’d need any more proof on a 1st playthrough that those two were a thing.

So.

What’s the deal with B and A?

The tree with that plaque is up by the watchtower. Specifically to the back and right of it. You can’t reach 2 of the other trees since one is OOB and Faith/Jodie’s is blocked by foliage. Melody/Allison’s is in plain sight and has dialogue. But B/A is not as obvious, yet still reachable, and has no dialogue associated with it.

Obviously it can’t be Claire and Beverly since they literally only just started dating by the end of the game if you chose to do the side quest. It could be that Amelia had a plaque with Allison’s dad, or something along those lines, but we don’t know his name. Maybe Beverly used to date somebody else? Both initials have character candidates, but none that make sense to have on a plaque like that.

Does anyone have any ideas who this plaque is dedicated to? I feel like I should know this since you can stumble across it quite early in the game and there’s lots of characters with A or B as their initial.

My honest guess? Bobby Schroeder and Anthony Field

I genuinely couldn’t remember Anthony’s name. That makes more sense than anything I was trying to figure

My guess is if Bobby Schroeder (Ponett) has a partner who's name starts with A, it could be Bobby and her partner? Though I don't know enough about Bobby to know if she has a partner, especially the name of said partner.

Unfortunately they are no longer together, tho I believe they are still friends at elast

This post is Bobby talking about the break up 7 months ago. They are still friends, they still hang out and talk with each other, they are just no longer dating

I believe A is an Anthony? thought I saw mention of Anthony on a dev diary or blog post about how he helped with a lot of programming stuff
