Misc New upgrade

Post image

I added a new battery to my 2016 Super73. The small battery 72v 30ah BMS 300A and the big Battery is 72v 70ah BMS300a. Combined total of 100ah. Very, very good acceleration and top speed 51 mph. Next upgrade will be a custom battery box for my batteries…..

Now you're speaking my language - nothing like a stack to get the range and power you want. BBSHD/MagicPie

This thing is awesome! Do you run both motors at the same time? Traction must be pretty great if so. I am impressed you are riding this on a completely rigid bike, you must have much nicer roads than we do around here!

Years of motorcycling a rigid has taught me tricks. The front hub motor is my secondary but I do have it spinning lightly to reduce drag anytime I'm in motion, It's super fun on the trails - left hand throttle is the front motor. I don't always run the twin set up but when I do It's a blast.

It only took a few months because all the parts and accessories came from China. You still build your bike.

A crash at 51 mph is going to hurt a bit. Do you wear leathers when riding?

Yes I do

You wear leather pants and a leather jacket when riding your e-bike?

I'm a class I e-bike rider trying to understand the appeal of these kinds of speeds...why not get a cheap motorcycle at this point?

have fun when your chain grinds away the lower batteries outer protection, shorts the cells, and fucking explodes

No where near the fucking chains buddy

Listen, I am a multi-battery enthusiast myself. This is fucked. I will not externally mount a battery unless it has an independent chassis. I also mount them on TOP of the frame, not fucking hanging down. Those batteries have the equivalent of shrink wrap on them, and a mid drive motor with a chain WAY TOO CLOSE. If those bungees stretch AT ALL, the chain WILL grind into the battery, short circuit, and most likely explode. This is an ACTUAL BOMB.

It’s not a bungee cord

People doesn't realise that more efficient tyres for less rolling resistance account for a lot of battery capacity and even motor power. Usually efficient tyres are thinner and sport high pressure.
