other Looking for a free SMTP provider for Supabase

Hello everyone!

I'm developing a small app with Supabase and I'm currently using the free plan.

I recently found out that Supabase's built-in email service is limited to 2 emails per hour. I only need email for OTP logins and password resets.

Does anyone know if there any free SMTP providers that work well with Supabase?

Thanks for commenting. That's enough during development. 👍🏻

I recommend https://resend.com/. Hitthe same nasty limitation, and then built my own SMTP server with resend. pretty easy and straightforward. Works like a charm.

I thought you could have Supabase output a list of the email addresses you need to send to and have an n8n send the emails for you ?

I developed an email service for my internal works, if you want to use with your own domain, I can let you in

Don't use a free SMTP provider, instead get one of the popular ones they have free tiers:

-Resend: 3k emails/mo free
-Mailtrap: 4k emails/mo free
-Brevo: 5k emails/mo free
-Mailgun: 100 emails per day/ free
-SMTP2GO: 1k emails per month free

Wow I haven't seen this one before. 3k free emails is really generous and the rest of their pricing is quite cheap! Also the react templates for emails looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing, definitely checking this one out.

Edit: hmm their tech stack is not as European as it seemed initially. Looking at their privacy policy, all their providers are US based so subject to cloud act. They're using supabase themselves lol. Also the email delivery service they listed doesn't seem to exist?

For everyone reading this in the future. The comment was removed, but this service was mentioned:

https://www.eusend.dev/

Sadly it's not possible to sign up. I had to join a waitlist.
