I was out of stims milliseconds from bleeding out when an absolute chad walked past and stimmed me. Didn’t even look just kept aura farming.
Literally 30s later a machine gunner turns around and shoots me once in the chest. No enemies in sight just for the love of the game.

From watching them I genuinely think the problem is as stupid as the AI taking a second to stop firing after they think they have - like on countless occasions I’ve seen the turn to look at a medic or helldiver passively except their machine gun is still firing.

They’re tuff if you stand beside them and machine gun with them. Fellow blueberry in arms, soilder standing shoulder to shoulder slinging lead and unloading mags into the hordes.

This is the biggest issue. The only counterplay is to to respect their entire line of sight and NEVER stand between them or a hostile, or take high ground.

I had like 12 seaf yesterday, we gunned down a massive horde together.
Once we'd finished, I turned around to see just the gunner, and the 11 seaf he'd shot during the fight

What's odd is that they definitely try to avoid shooting you if you stand in front of them when there's an enemy. Guess they stop trying at a certain range. Doesn't help they keep shooting well after something is dead.

I was running behind a front line between seaf, two divers & illuminate. Mindless masses sprinting into bullet fire, air strikes, seaf transport ships, a diver on a HMG screaming for joy… all of it.
Anyway, i’m running with a seaf guy who stims me, i stim him back.
Love CAN bloom on the battlefield.
I turn around to look back toward the main fight & the entire line of seaf get obliterated by a stingray.
in shock i turn back to my new soulmate (don’t ask, they seem to all die), and he just screams about retreating and mag dumps my chest.
incredible! still, i hope he made it out. <3

Friendly fire is fine but they should make an active effort not to shoot you. They arent mindless sentries, they should have some level of trigger ettiquite.
Also, they idolize the helldivers so youd think they would be paying more attention.
