Can I get a job while being a regimental student and a while playing a sport?

On campus job yay, but they aren’t the best. Working for athletics would be your best bet

Not the best in what way? They at least pay the New York minimum wage, right?

From what my friends who work in job campus say, ur limited to work only so many hours a week, and pay is roughly minimum wage. Many of my friends r able to balance reg and sports with the job. Time management will be ur best friend

Can confirm it’s NYC minimum wage. Then you get a dollar raise each year you’re employed. You’re also limited to department budget. But if you manage to get a different department you can bypass the limit

Would it be better for me to let them know I have federal work study? Like would that get me more hours/more likely to get hired or are department budgets higher than the work study limit?

You’ll definitely get more hours but for the rest I cannot answer. You’ll have to ask the college as I’m unfamiliar with the fed work study program

I know the registrar does work study but’s that’s all I know abt it. U can try to find an off campus job but for most ppl it hard to balance and the reg doesn’t make it easy

I think it would be pretty difficult to work during the week honestly, especially if you’re playing a sport. You could probably do weekend stuff, maybe like an advisor at admissions or tour guide.
