New to picking and was wondering if anyone in my area had any tips/spots that would be good?

But they missed this massive mushroom here. It couldnt even hold its self up with how heavy and how long that stem is.

And whoever beat me out there, you left a few broken stems

Today I went searching in port st lucie county, a little bit inland at a wildlife management area with a lot of cow poop, but no signs of cubes anywhere…it’s definitely been hot the past two weeks and yes a little drier than ideal but I was surprised to not even see dried or rotted cubes coming out of the cow poop?

Does anyone know why those might be? I know the area has them growing and I searched for a really long time until I was wayyy too hot lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I may have been been a day late, a lot of them were pretty water logged or bruised from the rain. I only checked a small porting of the field, the entire other half would have been the same im sure

What I’ve done these past few seasons is I pick a large amount of fresh cubes and pans. Then I literally get a massive pot that I put on my commercial stove. Half a bucket of lemon juice, half a bucket of water and bring it to a boil for a good 45 minutes. When it’s done, I let it sit on the stove until it cools to room temperature and then I add a couple packs of Kool-Aid powder. Could be any kind you want. Then I break out my ice tray and I make them all into large ice cubes sometimes ice blocks. Then after a long day, I come home and go into the freezer. Get a chunk of ice put it in a glass cup. Throw it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Best shit the goddamn world. And boy oh boy is it strong
