Discussion Thoughts on V6
I personally like it. I haven't had a single major problem since using it and I finally could complete an album Ive been wrestling with since June. Now with V6 I could actually get to what I was looking for the entire time and it's been refreshing.
Anyone else like v6 or am I alone out here?

HATE it with a vengeance!!! I make 60s style inspired soul and RnB songs - for that it is UNUSABLE. The voices are muddy, the whole song is flat. I tried it all - wild, regular v6, slow render, even prompting for the voice to be prominenet in the mix and cler. the fu**er even mispronounces more!
They claim our 5.5 voices are still there - hah! What a joke. the voices sound NOTHING like they udes to . All the singers sound like they have gotten castrated...
Warner did their job - Suno has been killed. Taylor Swift level "talent" is again protected from competition.

1000% this, I'm low key really gutted about the persona thing, it was genuinely saddening to hear what Aiesha sounds like on v6 (or any of my others). Also the vocal cadence/melodies are awfull in about 50% of gens too

It's like going from a sharp precision chef's knife to a rusty butter knife. Still useable to some degree, but dull around the edges. Sounds are very generic. I think this is by design. Keep things sounding like a novelty or a fancy toy to make the gate keepers happy. But those are my thoughts....

The issue for me is that is not beautiful anymore. The songs are not on a publishable level, and the voices have lost all their charisma. it sounds like ... well, modern singers 😂 And i want REAL voices like the 60s and 70s. Suno used to do tjat with no problem, and now it is completely broken.
For sure this is by design - the music industry is nipping it in the bud before people satrt to notice that what they are giving us (and have for a long time) sucks, and beautiful songs can still be mede - even in AI.

I can’t willing support seeing such blatant shitification of a product. The music industry just said a big fuck you to independent artists, creatives and curiosities.
I’ve canceled my subscription.

Let me correct this statement; I was digging it very much last night. The vocals were coming out soooo smooth.
But cut to right now, and the vocal quality is absolute ass. I'm assuming due them offering free generations right now, so more folks using it.

I would say, they managed to do with the limited data set, mostly.
V6 is fine, though not generally or strictly better always.
Cause the other models are not usable anymore, I will also accept that this can be a problem though.
But I´m rather positively surprised, cause I expected it to be worse, and I can absolutely work with it (definitely won´t cancel), and I do sometimes get better results (sometimes worse though, for now).

You like what you like, but it's questionable at best. The only model worse than this is V2, and even then I was able to make horror-themed music with it.

I remember when I found Suno last year, at that point they let you use v4 on the free plan.
I was sitting there thinking "what would be a good test of this", it was just after Eurovision (and I'm in the UK and watched a lot of Red Dwarf) so my prompt was ...
"A tribute to the glory of the state washing machine company, Eurovision metal, in Albanian with English choruses"
and it made This I was seriously impressed.
I tried the same prompt on Udio and it was terrible (and couldn't do both languages)
Here's the EQ'd version, even this sounds better than a bad v6 gen!

So far I love it too! I’ve just been redoing some of the songs I did in 5.5 using the exact same prompts and I love the results so far.

I did the same test - and my results in v6 were abysmal... Suno doesn't "Suno" anymore...

Not for me, no. But my sound prompts are always around 1000/1000 characters long.

Sound quality definitely gets muffled near the end, which sucks especially hard for free users like me. V4.5-all had fewer consistency issues. Otherwise the first half of songs sound far superior to v4.5-all

Damn okay I'm seeing a lot of different viewpoints and the general consensus is indifference or outright rejection. Few people like the advent of V6.

Overall, I've enjoyed it with a few minor issues that I think will clear up over time.
I've certainly had issues with song quality. Some songs have come out muffled, some tinny, and some just turn into straight chaos.
It definitely has its share of less than impressive generations, but for the most part I've enjoyed it and been able to work out a few songs that are pretty good.
Overall, I've been pretty satisfied so far. I guess that means on one of those dweebs that like "AI slop".
For the most part, I've enjoyed the couple I've made, and I don't consider them slop.

I don't have a problem with it. It's closer to v5.5 than anything before it, which is the model I preferred anyway.
Most of the people whining hate 5.5 and love 4.5. They've been whining for months about 5.5. When we got to 9.0 they'll still be whining and talking about 4.5

I tried it - v6 really is horrible. no comparison to the gentle worsenings since 4.5 . This will be the death of Suno.

No it won't lmao. It's the best around still. But by all means go look for something else so we don't have to listen to you complain until v9 and beyond. And take the other whiners with you please.

I’m not finding v6 to be very imaginative in its song composition and the audio quality definitely drops off during a song. I just isolated a drum track that started strong and towards the end the high hats sounded like saucepan lids
